Bad at Sports Sunday Comics with Margot Ferrick

The work of Margot Ferrick is alchemical, words and figures become liquid gold across spread pages. It feels current in it’s lack of direct narrative and it’s strong poetic lyricism but also feels more akin to illuminated medieval manuscripts than it does to other contemporary comics. Like a 21st century Hildegard of Bingen writing notes to a crush, it’s ecstatic. Her upcoming book, Yours, is part of the Spring 2017 2D Cloud roster. It’s a collection of smaller work and ends with a new story.
