The theme a lot of papers are running with for this year’s Whitney is one of “a depressing wasteland of mediocrity”? Having only seen photos I don’t have an opinion myself but I do have to ask why is something like Charles Long’s sculpture included? I get William Cardova even though I wish it was based on subject matter more current then the 60’s Black Panther movement?
