On this week’s show Duncan and Richard talk to Gregory Knight Deputy Commissioner/Visual Arts of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. Kathryn Born interviews Brian Shannon on the wild and wacky world of insuring art collections. Big Red and Shiny checks in from Boston. Brian Andrews talks about the East Bay. Jason Dunda is on for a minute or so to make fun of incoming art undergrads and Duncan and Richard as they played docent for his first year students! It’s like 8 shows rolled into one!
NOTE: Duncan loves the US of A and doesn’t really want to relive the war of 1812, it’s just that Richard’s Canada bashing hurts his soft dandy-ish soul.
PLEASE NOTE: STARTING THIS WEEK OUR FOCUS SHIFTS TO WWW.BADATSPORTS.COM SO COME ON OVER AND POST YOUR PITHY COMMENTS OVER THERE! WE ARE WAITING FOR YOU!!

Okay people lets start chatting it up in the new space!!!
The new site is real purty.
Fascinating interview with Brian Shannon on the value of art. It seems that certain work, when purchased, is worth more than the sum of its parts yet when it comes down to insuring it, the piece is only really worth the cost of its parts.
Nice introduction to the Bay Area and look into the DCA and the Cultural Center. Which reminds me, I have to get back down there.
When is Jeanne Dunning going to be on?
Tomato fight? Hasn’t that been done, like 60000000000000000 times already?
I agree that the Cultural Center has put on some fantastic shows over the past few years, but I would have liked to have heard a line of questioning into who exactly makes up their advisory board. Overall a good show guys.
I kinda, like, miss the old site. And I think you got your first spam message. Above.
I also would have liked to have heard a line of questioning about Amanda’s mom.
That got cut, it got too personal.
