We again bring you a different sort of Top V this week. As COVID-19 has moved many of us inside for the foreseeable future, we want to share a range of resources to help keep you fed in many different ways.

1.  Arts for Illinois Relief Fund

A $4.2 million (and hopefully growing) emergency fund for individual artists and arts organizations.

2. RADICAL SELF-QUARANTINE
A collectively-authored modular public “syllabus” for groups of people (artists, students, and anyone else who wants to participate!) to share a series of weekly creative moving image project prompts, screening, and reading ideas during periods of isolation, social distancing, and quarantine. It is also an experiment in creative companionship, exchange, and building new networks and creative communities.

3.  LEGAL AID CHICAGO UPDATES DURING COVID-19
The new federal law, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, goes into effect on April 2, 2020. Find out how workers impacted by COVID-19 and those serving as caregivers for individuals with COVID-19 will be eligible for paid sick leave.

4. Opportunities for Artists in April 2020
Hyperallergic’s list of COVID-19 relief grants, exhibition open calls, and opportunities that artists and creatives can apply for this month.

5. The Quarantine Concerts
A collaborative endeavor by Experimental Sound Studio (ESS), meant to provide artists a space to share their work and continue to earn a living during this time when most live performance opportunities have been cancelled due to COVID-19.

Also: There are many hospitals and healthcare workers looking for Personal Protective Equipment for health professionals fighting COVID-19. If you have any in your studio/gallery/home you can find a place to donate it here .

Note: As this situation continues to evolve our amazing community has already begun to adapt existing networks and develop new platforms for sharing resources and culture. We expect that in the next few months many of these new platforms and networks that are being hashed out now will have need for a wider reach. As long as they have a community aim, we will be happy to try to help you share them. So please, let us know what you’re doing and what we can share, please email us at visualistchicago@gmail.com or find us on Facebook at @visualistchicago.
