Wow.
The opening few seconds is payback for the West Town Gallery network map. How dare you. Duncan has never eaten a bratwurst in his life.
Anyway. 52 weeks worth of shows. Damn.
“We’re not the first,
I hope we’re not the last
‘Cause I know we’re all heading
for that adult crash The times is so little,
the time belongs to us
Why is everybody in such a fucking rush?
Make do with what you have
Take what you can get
Pay no mind to us
We’re just a minor threat
We’re just a minor threat”

Holy Shit. It actually happened.
Did you ever fear, nothing can stop the Bad at Sports war machine once it gets going, nothing shy of gum on the road.
Yay! Happy Birthday! Here’s to another 52 weeks!
Happy Birthday BAS. Great clip show. I can’t believe you are already seven dog years old.
I especially liked the Minor threat references. But I seriously doubt you are straight edge, Bad at Sports. Duncan, I’m looking in your direction…
Steve
A new formula says that in dog years they’d be 10.5 years old.
From: http://www.onlineconversion.com/dogyears.htm
“It is a common belief that 1 human year is equal to 7 dog years. That is not very accurate, since dogs reach adulthood within the first couple of years. The formula used above is from a canine expert and is a bit more accurate. (as accurate as one can judge these things)
The formula is: 10.5 dog years per human year for the first 2 years, then 4 dog years per human year for each year after.”
Pretty soon, they’ll be entering puberty!
Happy birthday! I enjoy your show — I find it entertaining and a valuable insight into the Chicago art scene. I seriously don’t see how you are able to juggle day jobs, artmaking and producing a weekly podcast. But I’m glad you do. Congratulations, hope to be celebrating another BAS birthday again next year.
Happy Birthday! It is truly amazing that you can keep this up week-in week-out, and you are artists! Good luck for the future. It’s a shame you lost our entertaining arguments — “discussions” — and so on in the change over. they were fun to read. However, to avoid spam, spineless anonymous entries and even faked ones as you suspected, this is certainly best. I hope the discussion keeps up!
Happy Birthday from your friends at 65GRAND. I really can’t believe it’s been a year and that you never missed a week. That and the sweet new site leads me to wonder if you’re not taking this professionalism thing a little too far. Just Kidding of course – I applaud your energy and efforts. It was fun to hear the clips and the minor threat.
see you at the galleries this september!
Congratulations on your first year! I can’t believe all of the stuff you covered, without a break. I hope you can continue. If you need any help, even if it’s to mow your lawn(s), wash dishes or other domestic chores in order to have time to do the show, just let me know.
HBD!!! you crazy bunch of art freaks …… thanks for a great year. The clip show was fun and reminded me that one of things I have really enjoyed was just how damn funny this show could get ….. In the words of Frank Zappa “Does Humor Belong in Music?” Well Frank, what about Art???
Of course and thank BAS for it ……
I laughed, I cried, I hit fast-forward ……
Here’s to a good forthcoming year; I will be sure to raise a glass over the weekend to the show ….
