The comics of Danielle Chenette are a sports car riding into a blazing sunset under the shadow of tall palms. They are a action scene that you vaguely remember from a movie you haven’t seen since you were 12. Few contemporary cartoonists use movement as loose and fierce as she does. Her work has been published by local presses such as Tan and Loose and Believed Behavior, while her illustrations can be seen in the New York Times and Narrative.ly. Chenette recently left Chicago for Los Angeles and has maintained a strong practice of vibrant gouache paintings and marker drawings that reflect her new surroundings.

Danielle’s work is available through her webstore or for digital download. You can find out more about Danielle through her website.
