Caroline Picard is a Chicago-based artist, writer and curator who explores the figure in relation to systems of power. In 2005, she founded the Green Lantern Press and has since released 29 slow-media titles. She writes regularly for the Art21 blog and Art ltd. Magazines. Recent short stories, essays and comics were published in The Coming Envelope no. 5 (Bookthug), Artifice, Anobium, Bicycle Review, MAKE Magazine and Everyday Genius; she has two contributions in vols 1 & 3 of The Graphic Canon (Seven Stories Press, 2012). Other books include Psycho Dream Factory (Holon Press, 2011) and The Chronicles of Fortune (Holon Press, 2011). She runs The Paper Cave, an on-line bookstore dedicated to small press books, performs regularly with Lady Rollins and is the Managing Editor for the Bad at Sports Blog.
