Amanda Browder is a visual artist and local loud-mouth in Brooklyn,Â NY. Born in Missoula, MT, Amanda moved to Chicago in 2001 to teach atÂ the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and to later help startÂ the Bad at Sports podcast with Duncan and Richard. In 2007 AmandaÂ moved to New York and now heads the NY Bureau.
As a fine-artist Amanda has shown nationally and internationally suchÂ as the Nakaochiai Gallery, Tokyo, Japan; Lothringer 14, Munich,Â Germany; White Columns, New York; Gallery 400-UIC, and The Hyde ParkÂ Art Center, Chicago. Last year, Amanda covered a building in her localÂ neighborhood and received a grant from Brooklyn Arts Council and theÂ NPArt. Although Christo and her live in the same city, she strives toÂ have an arm wrestling contest as a way to see who will be the firstÂ one to cover the Statue of Liberty. With her co-host Tom Sanford,Â training has begun, and has made her mark at being able to lift bothÂ Duncan and Richard right out of their chairs.
