I thought this episode was really good! Highlights being Brian Andrews' review of the playstation game (please see Lloyd's comment above, i completely agree!) and Richard's interviews at CAA. I'm a Londoner and had never heard of this bizarre concept of a mass interview-conference, so i was hanging on everyones' words, trying to get my head around the whole thing. I still don't entirely understand why you go if you don't have an interview (to hear people speak at the conference? who are speaking and what are they speaking about and who for/to?), and if you do have an interview, how did you get it? How many people get interviewed for each position at this stage? ... Sounds hideous, but then perhaps better than here, where so far as I know to get a teaching job in an arts department you have to just know someone, somehow and hope they remember to put you on the list. I guess this is where the drinking and collecting praise practice comes in handy... so where do i get one of these playstations then eh?

Don't sweat it Chris. It's an obvious cry for attention on my part. I'm quite the little two year old. But at least I got a song out of it.

We flirted with the RIAA coming to shut us down but now with just one song by Bette Midler it all comes crashing down. I mean it's #269 in the Songs of the Century list compiled by the RIAA you couldn't pick something like "Addictive Love" by Bebe & Cece Winans its #364 .

You know every time someone see's that post Richard the artist loses $100 to the tenth power. Their attack dogs will ravage Duncan and then bite him. It's not pretty.

Also Steve the lack of credit was my fault I asked Richard but got busy and forgot to add it afterwards. So it is I who should be singing the song in B flat for you.

Wow. I wasn't expecting Bette Midler. I'm touched. But not in a good way.

I'm not sure but we really suck for not posting it with the pic.

My bad.

Steve the following song goes out to you...

"Wind Beneath My Wings"

Ohhhh, oh, oh, oh, ohhh.
It must have been cold there in my shadow,
to never have sunlight on your face.
You were content to let me shine, that's your way.
You always walked a step behind.

So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strength.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.

Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

It might have appeared to go unnoticed,
but I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it.
I would be nothing without you.

Did you ever know that you're my hero?
You're everything I wish I could be.
I could fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Did I ever tell you you're my hero?
You're everything, everything I wish I could be.
Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

Oh, the wind beneath my wings.
You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly away. You let me fly so high.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.

Fly, fly, fly high against the sky,
so high I almost touch the sky.
Thank you, thank you,
thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.

I thought it was an all 'round good episode! I gots some snarky Duncan comments, and additions from 'round the country.

What's up with Hello Beautiful? They are scared! Scared I tells ya. They don't want to acknowledge that BAS is kick ass.

By the way, what genious artist made that kick ass Chewbacca pic?

Marc,

Feel free to join on and contribute. Keep in mind this is a volunteer organization and we have jobs, families, crack problems. Also every bit is not for everyone.

It's not an issue of fast-forwarding, it's an issue of BAS taking time to develop decent thought-provoking content, rather than grabbing a handsome man like John Wanzel and talking to him about beer and egg salad sandwiches.
